Parents
Parents' Code of Conduct

Soccer is a sport that belongs to the players.

The following standards of conduct outline a philosophy that is vital to the game of soccer.

While soccer games are exciting for spectators and parents, the excitement and enthusiasm shown by parents and spectators must be both positive and controlled.

Uncontrolled or abusive parental behavior will not be tolerated at Lanier Soccer Association.

· All parents will act in a professional manner when representing the Lanier Soccer Association.

· Problems between parents and coaches and/or players should be directed to the Director of Coaching.

· Parents shall treat all officials with respect and shall teach their players to do the same.

· Coaches shall refrain from all manner of personal abuse or harassment toward players, referees and other coaches.

· Lanier Soccer Association expects all parents to conduct themselves as positive role models and display appropriate behavior.

· Do not use foul and abusive language towards referees, players, coaches and other parents.

· Continuous yelling is distracting to both teams, sometimes it can reveal the parents lack of  understanding of the game.

· Always show respect to the players and spectators of the other team.

· Alcohol and tobacco products are not permitted at any LSA games.

· All parents must remain on the spectator’s sidelines at all times. Only the coach and his assistant are allowed on the teams’ sideline and they must both have their coaching pass.

· The Director of Coaching and the Board of Directors shall have the authority to warn, suspend, or expel any parent or other person who violates Lanier Soccer Association rules or whose conduct is determined to be detrimental to the Lanier Soccer Association.
