U13M SHARKS Earn Promotion to Classic I for Fall 2010
Lanier Sharks 97 Gold won the spring Classic II Division, compiling a record of 7 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss, and will be promoted to Classic I for their inaugural U14 season in the fall.  The U13 Sharks secured the division title with a 1-1 draw at Athens United, which finished second in the division.

After starting the season with a draw and a loss, the U13's reeled off victories in 7 of their next 8 games before the showdown against Athens United.  The team won 4 games, drew 1 and lost none in May, despite the loss of their leading scorer to injury.

The Sharks were coached by head coach Todd Rife and assistant coach Jim Coleman.

The U13's won their division despite the complication of having 12 players also playing middle school soccer.  Many of the players regularly practiced with both their middle school team and the Sharks on the same day.

With the U13's earning promotion, LSA will have a team qualified for the Classic I Division of at every age group from U14 through U19 for the fall season.

U12 LSA teams compete in the GYSA ACADEMY CUP....
Congrats to LSA's U12 Female SHARKS (coached by Diego Vacca) that dominated the Hope Solo division of the State U12 Academy Cup.  Great Job ladies!!!!

Congrats to the U12 Male SHARKS (coached by Dan Lewis) on being the CHAMPIONS for the Clint Dempsey division.

Way to go SHARKS!!!!  We are very proud of both teams!!!!
